PharmAchieve helps you succeed in the OSCE Exam
PharmAchieve is a leading provider of prepatory courses for the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada's (PEBC) OSCE exam. Our students come from across Canada and around the globe. All our courses are taught at our 16th floor Bay Street location, across from the stock exchange, in downtown Toronto.

What makes us different:

  • Our service orientation -- PharmAchieve is a Baha'i inspired organization founded upon the ideals of service and that "work is worship." Our founders deeply care about the course and their students. This philosophy of caring is reflected in our decision to become the first company in Canada to provide a one student per station policy (see below).

  • Our course is designed to provide you with as much practice and feedback as possible. The OSCE is a communication exam. As such it requires practice to master. Our course provides you more practice than available elsewhere. For instance, the University of Toronto CPS Course lasts 4 months but only offers 16 cases with standardized patients whereas we guarantee a minimum of 60.

  • Our 1-student/1-station policy -- During our OSCE, every student is given a private, unshared station at all times which during our 3 days of OSCE allows you to practice at least 20 stations per day -- significantly more cases than offered by comparable OSCE courses which require you to share your stations with other students. To our knowledge we are the only Canadian company with standardized patients that offers a 1 student per station policy.

  • We closely simulate the OSCE -- We go to great lengths to simulate the OSCE environment so that the real exam will be a familiar and comfortable experience. Our course locations include a real OSCE test facility and our environment includes standardized patients, licensed pharmacist assessors, a private room for every interactive station, real medications, door signs, references, props, patient profiles, and a buzzer sounding at the correct time intervals.

  • Our People -- All our standardized patients are current or former members of the standardized patient programs of local medical schools or medical licensing councils. All our assessors are licensed pharmacists from leading hospitals and retail organizations (see lead instructor bios) in positions that require them to counsel patients daily. A number of our teach at the University of Toronto's faculty of Pharmacy IPG CPS course. More than 5 of our staff members have PharmDs. Our team has certifications in Anti-Coagulation, Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Geriatrics and Neonatology.

  • Video feedback -- Every day, we videotape students in several OSCE stations. Students who bring a USB key receive a free copy of their videos. In satisfaction surveys, students consistently state that their videos are a highly valuable source of feedback. There is often a remarkable improvement in a student's performance between their first video and their last.

  • Our small class sizes and low student to faculty ratio -- Our class size is limited to 20 students. And since we have a standardized patient and licensed pharmacist for every interactive station we have more than twice as many instructors as students in each class. This allows us to provide an exceptional amount of personalized instruction and 1-on-1 coaching.

  • Our high pass rate and stellar satisfaction ratings -- Our pass rate of approximately 90% is significantly higher than the published pass rate of 37% for first time IPG graduates. To date, 98.7% of our students have given us the highest possible overall satisfaction rating of "very satisfied." We are extremely proud of our satisfaction results and are happy to share hard copies of the surveys.

“It was five weeks before the exam. I had just finished taking courses from two other companies and yet I still felt unprepared.  I often became nervous when answering questions – even if I knew the answer.  After taking PharmAchieve’s course, I felt much better prepared. The difference in quality was amazing. I passed the OSCE on my first try.”
